Hello Everyone!
In order to better serve our users, I would like to take this time to go over SCS's Request Tracking system, GLPI. This software allows the user to submit support requests to an online database designed to track and manage ongoing technical issues in the Seminary community. One of the key features of this software is it's ability to keep the user updated on any progress as it's made. It also allows SCS to catalog and archive old solutions, which can enable faster response for known issues.
When requesting help from SCS, please browse to:http://scs.earlham.edu/helpdesk. Once there, you will need to login using your seminary account information (just like logging into Moodle). By default each blank trouble ticket will be populated automatically with your email address, and the option will be set to send all ticket updates (progress, solutions, etc) to that address. Please make sure your email address is correct before moving on.
Next, you'll want to give us a description of the problem. It is very helpful to be as specific as possible when reporting an issue. For example, if the problem involves
Moodle, please include the course where the problem first occurred, as well as the time and date. If you have had this problem or one of a similar nature before, please include as much information as you can. When finished, click "Submit Message".
The following page will let you know your ticket number (shown in green). Click on the number to view your ticket after submitting. It's a good idea to bookmark this page, as you can check on the progress SCS has made at any time by following this link.
Please let us know if you have any questions!
Thank you,
Ryan Davis
