  • SCAM: "Dear: Webmail account Owner" (or "Prevent Your Account")

Another variation on an Earlham-targeted scam; this one even tries to abuse the name of the real Silpakorn University. Comments are in bold.

    From: ACCOUNT UPGRADE <INFO @UPGRADE.COM>
Reply-To: accountupgrade008 @live.com (Neither of these make sense: if this is from someone who runs the mail server for @earlham.edu, wouldn't they be able to use an @earlham.edu address?)
Subject: Dear: Webmail account Owner (Random punctuation is not a good sign...)

    Dear: Webmail account Owner,

This message is from Webmail messaging center to all Webmail email account
owners. We are currently upgrading our data base and e-mail account center. We
are deleting all Webmail email account to create more space for new
    accounts.To
prevent your account from closing you will have to update it so that we will
know that it's a present used account. Your response should be sent to admin. (If the sender of this message ran the Earlham mail server, they wuld be able to tell if you had been using your account without asking you.)

manager Email: accountupgrade008 @live.com (Again, if we run the mail server for @earlham.edu, why would we need to use an address from @live.com?)
